I have been asked to be part of a great art show 

called

Affair of the Heart

that is on this weekend

1-3 March.

So today I have been busy pricing and cataloguing everything

as I have to drop it off to the organisers tonight.

Sewing away

This past week I have been madly sewing away.

Getting my stock back up for the 3 big events that I have on in March

Waipu

I have been away with my boys camping.

To an amazing place called

"Waipu Cove".

It has Sun, Sea, Surf.........what more could we want!

Waipu is a little one street town that has a quaint Celtic

history.

Before we went camping I finished a few 

Bunnie Purses.

There were little Brown Bunnies with white tails

hopping around our camp ground at sunset each night.

I might have to do some two tone rabbits for them.

Silver Fox

This past week my father turned 72.

He calls my mother his "Silver Fox"

So this week with thoughts of my father

in my mind I did a newish design.

Please welcome the

"Silver Fox" who has come out to play with the "Fabulous Red Mr Fox"

The "Silver Fox" has this lovely lining.

The Red Fox has this sleepy fellows lining.

Summer Projects

A little while ago I mentioned that we were working on some projects around the house.

Here is a peak at some of what we have achieved.

Master O and I revamped with some paint

the draws in his bedroom.

We put a sofa in Master O's bedroom so he can relax and read

his huge book collection.

So far I have made just the one cushion for his sofa.

I have another in the pipe line.

Outside we are working on a couple of raised Planter Boxes.

Here are the boys putting Linseed Oil on the wood.

We still have a little way to go on this project.

But I promise to show you them again when they are finished 

Last Day

Today was Master O's last day on school holiday.

We have had 6 wonderful weeks.

We spent the morning getting new crayons and pencils for school

plus all the other little bits and pieces he needed.

This afternoon we went for a lovely walk and an ice cream.

When we got home at 4pm I suddenly realised I had not made him 

a new larger pencil case for the year.

I had, had all these grand plans............where did the time go!

When I consulted Master O he said he wanted a Kiwi Bird

on his new pencil case.

So I quickly whipped one up.

Keeping with the Kiwiana theme. 
I lined the pencil case with some Pohutukawa fabric
that I had in the cupboard.

Finishing it off with a lovely green zip.

Master O was very happy.
Sometimes the best things are the last minute things!
